Happy Anniversary to my Daughter and Son-In-Law!

An Anniversary card for my daughter and her husband....eleven years!!

Number Cards

It seems that it a year of special birthdays! So I made use of my Funky Hand Papercraft Factory CD-ROM, and printed off some number cards, then decorated them in various ways.

Father's Day Cards

I had fun with my favourite technique, the masking papers! I stamped the images in grey, and then masked them off, before applying a stencil in Weathered Wood and Vintage Photo Distress inks. I stamped a few tickets, and coloured these with Vintage Photo as well, then mounted them with 3d sticky pads.

Circus Card

A magazine had some lovely free papers enclosed, and I had just acquired the ticket die, so I was able to make this fun card for a child's birthday.

Quick Cards

Some very quick card makes for a friend

Decorating the Summerhouse!

Mike is buying me a summerhouse to celebrate my 60th birthday, so I decided it would be as pretty as I could possibly make it! Not for me a dirty, dusty corner, but I have made bunting for the outside from an old oilcloth, then inside bunting from various shades of brown/cream material. Then I made some elephants...why? not really sure, but I think they are cute!

Fun With felt

I have discovered the joy of felt!! Firstly it was Santa's, then I made a Sunshine in the Rain mobile. Then I found a lovely pattern for a rocking horse pillow. I didn't like the idea of a pillow, so I decided to make him three dimensional, and give him two rockers.

Butterfly Canvas

Amelie came for a craft afternoon, and so we made some canvas art. This is one that Amelie made for her bedroom, and I made a similar one for my sister, in green.

Wedding Congratulations

Wedding card, made with heart dies, and embossed for the 'wedding dress', then a row of tiny pearls added to the front. The man's jacket heart had buttons added, a bow tie, and of course, a button hole flower!

Card In A Box

I love making these cards in a box cards. they are such fun to make, yet fold down to fit into a standard envelope.

Jewellery Box Card

I always have to come up with something special for my granddaughter, Amelie, as she is so adept at cardmaking herself. So this little paper 'jewellery box' card was just the job! I included a little hand made key ring, a tiny card, and some birthday confetti in the drawers.

Girlie cards!

A selection of quickie cards made with the Bellisima range of papers. Very girlie!

Indian Summer

Chocolate Baroque Indian stamp demanded that I use bright and beautiful orange and red inks in the background. I masked off a yellow sun, then graduated the colours away from it. The elephants were coloured with Promarkers, the fussy cut and placed on with 3d sticky pads

Flowers For You

A bright and breezy card from the Jo Firth Young range of stamps. I love them!

iPad card!

My Grandson, like most boys his age, plays for hours on his iPad, so I decided to make as realistic a card as I could! I used the Apple sticker from my own iPad, and creased a piece of green card to give the effect of a folding cover. I think he was quite pleased with it!

Simple Masking and Peg Stamps

Create, Love, Laugh

We treated ourselves to some new crockery, and each box was packed with this lovely stiff brown card....it had to be used! After covering them all with gesso and Fresco paints, I have mixed some paint with texture paste and stencilled with this on the top frame, then used various techniques including tissue, stamping  and die cutting. I found some lovely green chain and rings in my jewellery-making stash that really linked the three board together.

Blue, Blue Friend

I love the Chocolate Baroque fragments stamps as they give such an unusual texture to backgrounds. I randomly stamped the textures with clear embossing ink, before applying white embossing powder, then overstamping with a script stamp. I made a mask in the very centre of the card with Post-It notes, then coloured the background with various shades of blue Distress Inks, working from the lightest in the centre to darkest round the edges. I then drew a line round the white blank in the centre to accentuate, and added a stamped image, decoupaged to stand out.

Summer Flowers

Another card using the masking technique, this time with Chocolate Baroque flowers. I masked off the flowers, stamped and embossed the dragonflies using clear embossing ink, and a mixture of white and holographic powders. I then made the background using Distress Ink, and splattered a bit of water about, then stencilled in a few stems, before drawing round them with white pen. I removed the masks and coloured the flowers with a selection of Promarkers and Sakura gelli pens, before adding a few water drops.
